Baleen

Baleen is a cloud-based data integration and asset discovery platform designed for security teams, IT operations, and compliance professionals who need comprehensive visibility across their digital infrastructure and online presence. Baleen specializes in aggregating, normalizing, and querying data from multiple sources to provide unified insights into an organization's attack surface, cloud resources, SaaS applications, and external footprint.

Before you start​

Huntbase signs in to Baleen with Personal Access Token. Create the credential in Baleen first, then keep it to hand for the Connect step.

  1. Contact Baleen support and ask for a personal access token for the Baleen API.
Watch out for
  • Baleen doesn't offer self-service token creation. Only Baleen support can issue a token.
tip

Use a dedicated, read-only credential for Huntbase where the product allows it. Huntbase only needs to read.

Connect Baleen​

  1. Go to Connections and click New connection, or click New connection on the Baleen product page.
  2. On Product, pick Baleen and choose the Owner.
  3. On Details, give the connection a Name and, optionally, a Description.
  4. On Connect, fill in the settings and credentials described below.
  5. On Verify, review the summary and click Create & check.

Credentials​

The only Method is Personal Access Token. Enter a Credential label (for example Production), then fill in:

Query it​

Once connected, Baleen can serve these languages in a query tab, and Scout can use it when you ask in Auto:
