New Features​

  • Scout can now discover and query data stored in connected object storage (such as Azure Blob Storage and Amazon S3), including CSV and log files, with a status card on the connection page showing schema sync progress.
  • Simplified pricing: Huntbase now offers two plans — Personal and Teams — both free.
  • The find/lookup tool is now built directly into the query bar in Explorer, so you no longer need a separate panel to look things up while writing a query.

Improvements​

  • KQL queries now get proper syntax highlighting in the query editor.
  • Queries against Azure Log Analytics connections using KQL now run natively for more reliable results.
  • Running a query template from the Library now opens it directly in a new Explorer tab instead of a separate wizard, making it faster to get from a template to a working query.

Bug Fixes​

  • Fixed an issue where re-running a query could show leftover results from the previous run instead of the new one.
  • Fixed the Library and query search so they only show templates and results for connections you actually have access to.
  • Fixed an issue where editing and re-running a query overwrote your current tab instead of opening a new one.
  • Fixed the Activity Feed so related query runs from a single submission are grouped together instead of listed separately.
  • Fixed an error that could occur when creating a query from a template without adding extra query content.
  • Fixed an error that could prevent Watchers from being created.
  • Fixed autocomplete suggestions for Endpoint Control queries so table names now resolve correctly.
  • Fixed an error creating connections that don't require authentication.
  • Fixed several billing reliability issues, including incorrect handling of billing email and stale plans reappearing after removal.
  • Fixed an issue where creating a query without explicitly specifying a connection could fail instead of auto-selecting a suitable one.
  • Fixed the "processing entities" indicator getting stuck indefinitely on queries that don't extract entities.
  • Fixed an error that could prevent hunts from being created for certain newly added users.
